36 Days of type

Personal Project

Role: Art Direction, Lettering + Illustration

Year: 2019

36 Days of Type is an annual project that invites designers, illustrators and artists alike to share their interpretation of the letters and numbers of the Latin alphabet. After years of eyeing many beautiful submissions, I decided to tackle the 36 day challenge. My goal was to create an alphabet that explores grungy textures, layering, a wide variety of type styles (with a hint of retro), all within a strict four-color palette. During the challenge, a few of my letters were featured on the 36 Days Instagram page.
